“We detailed the largest sailing yacht hull we’ve ever worked on—the 293-foot S/V Athena.”

A rare Charleston snowstorm slowed progress (and even inspired a snowman on the Mega Dock), but the real challenge came when the yacht’s crew walked off mid-project.

“At one point, the entire crew left, and only one engineer remained. We had to help with all sorts of things on short notice. It was nerve-wracking not knowing if we’d get paid—but in the end, it turned into a great job.”
