Renegade Metal Polishing Compound Bars for Aluminum and Stainless Brightwork
Renegade compound bars are what make an Airway Buffing Wheel cut, color and finish. Coarser bars remove scratches and finer bars bring up the shine, so metal polishing shops run a progression of them. For aluminum, Brown Tripoli (T-88) is the first cutting step on the Orange wheel and is not used on stainless, while Green Rogue (G-16) is the second step on the Yellow wheel for a clean shine. For a show finish, Blueberry Ultra (blue rouge) and Competition Purple pair with a White Flannel wheel. Many polishers stop at the two-step process and save the show compounds for their most cherished pieces, and owners can follow the same steps on rails, tanks and wheels.
