Heavy oxidation on gelcoat calls for wool. This Lake Country pad is single-sided, hook and loop, unsteamed white twisted wool: the most aggressive pad type, and a standard for heavy cutting in boatyards and body shops.

Tip: shorter pile cuts more aggressively; longer pile lasts longer. The 1.5" pile is a good balance for compounding a full hull.
